I created this ring as part of a commitment to reconciliation, to be worn as a reminder that we are all treaty people and in this together. I learned the importance of Birch Bark from an Anishinaabe Elder. This ring is traditionally crafted with actual birch bark. Using chasing techniques and fold forming I have recreated the texture and form in sterling silver. 21.5 percent of sales of the SilverBirch collection will be donated to The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund supporting reconciliation through education in Canada.
